Brown recluse spiders are venomous and choose to live outside in woodpiles and debris. When in your home, you might find brown recluse spiders in dark and dry areas such as places where you keep storage, or sometimes even in bedding, piles of clothes, and dresser drawers. Growing up to 3/4 in. (16 mm) long, these spiders have fine, short hairs with a light brown color on their abdomen and back. They are tough and can go months without any food or water.
Brown recluse spider bites are rare, and only ever occur when something disrupts their hiding place. Their bites are painful and can become serious if not treated quickly and carefully. Children and elderly are more susceptible to issues from a spider bite. Call Miller Pest & Termite to rid your home of spiders today!
